1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to RecurStop! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RecurStop website at recurstop.com and our subscription tracking services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you are using RecurStop on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

RecurStop is a subscription tracking service that helps you:

• Track and manage your recurring subscriptions
• Receive reminders before subscription renewals
• Monitor trial periods with countdown alerts
• Analyze your subscription spending
• Optionally detect subscriptions via email (Gmail/Outlook)

What RecurStop is NOT:

• We are NOT a financial advisor. Our Service is for informational purposes only.
• We do NOT cancel subscriptions on your behalf. We provide information to help you decide.
• We do NOT guarantee the accuracy of automatically detected subscription data.
• We do NOT have access to your bank accounts or payment methods.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in certain jurisdictions) to use RecurStop. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3.2 Account Information

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each person may only maintain one RecurStop account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limitations or abuse the Service is prohibited.

4. Free and Premium Tiers

4.1 Free Tier

The free tier includes:

• Track up to 5 subscriptions
• Basic renewal reminders
• Manual subscription entry
• Dashboard overview

The free tier is provided at no cost and may be used indefinitely.

4.2 Pro Tier (Premium)

The Pro tier includes all free features plus:

• Unlimited subscriptions
• Email-based subscription detection (Gmail/Outlook)
• Trial tracking with countdown alerts
• Price change notifications
• Advanced spending analytics
• Data export (CSV/JSON)
• Priority email support

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Pricing

Pro tier pricing:

• India (INR): ₹199/month or ₹1,999/year (save ~16%)
• International (USD): $6.99/month or $69.99/year (save ~16%)

Prices are subject to change. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers.

5.2 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selection). Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.

5.3 Free Trial

We may offer a 14-day free trial for new Pro subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged for the first billing period.

5.4 Payment Methods

Payments are processed securely by:

• Stripe: For credit/debit cards (international)
• Razorpay: For UPI, cards, and netbanking (India)

By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

5.5 Taxes

Prices may be subject to applicable taxes (GST in India, VAT in EU, sales tax in US). Taxes will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on your location.

5.6 Refund Policy

Due to the nature of digital subscription services:

• Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable
• Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a prorated refund within the first 30 days if you have not used premium features extensively
• Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis

5.7 Payment Failure

If your payment fails, we will attempt to charge your payment method again. If payment continues to fail after multiple attempts, your account will be downgraded to the free tier. You will not lose your data, but access to premium features will be restricted.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time:

• Go to Settings > Billing > Manage Subscription
• Click "Cancel Subscription"
• Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
• After cancellation, your account will be downgraded to the free tier
• Your data will be preserved, but you may only access 5 subscriptions

We do not offer partial refunds for unused time in a billing period.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use RecurStop to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on the rights of others
• Transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service without permission
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free tier limitations
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent activity
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Property

RecurStop, including its design, features, code, graphics, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of your subscription data and any content you provide. By using RecurStop, you grant us a limited license to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

8.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

9. Third-Party Services

RecurStop integrates with third-party services (Google, Microsoft, Stripe, Razorpay). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or content of third-party services.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RecurStop and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Any content you provide through the Service

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in behavior that is harmful to us, other users, or third parties. We will provide notice where practicable.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service will immediately cease
• We will delete your data within 30 days (unless legally required to retain it)
• Sections 8, 10, 11, 12, and 14 will survive termination

14. Governing Law and Disputes

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by:

• For Indian residents: The laws of India, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
• For all other users: The laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at legal@recurstop.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

14.3 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court. Arbitration will be conducted in English, and the arbitrator's decision will be final and binding.

14.4 Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes with us on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in class actions or class arbitrations.

14.5 Opt-Out

You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver by sending written notice to legal@recurstop.com within 30 days of creating your account.

15. Modifications to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will:

• Provide at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification
• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.

16. General Provisions

16.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RecurStop regarding your use of the Service.

16.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

16.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights without restriction.
